Abstract

In this article we will present the subject matter of our PhD dissertation at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. We will then go on to comment on our findings of a case study on the different collocations of the term ordonnance. Our aim is to demonstrate the importance of collocation studies on legal terminology and the impact they have in the context of legal translation given the weaknesses of specialized and unspecialized dictionaries.
