Title
Une base de données relationnelle consacrée aux autotraducteurs/trices et à leurs réflexions sur l’autotraduction

Abstract
This article describes a relational database devoted to self-translators and their writings on the practice of self-translation. The database (Autotraduttori, autotraduzioni, riflessioni / Autotraducteurs, autotraductions, réflexions / Self-translators, Self-translations, Reflections) was designed and produced at the University of Udine. The main reason for creating this resource has been summed up by Kobus Marais some years ago (2014): “One part of scientific work could rightfully be to analyze phenomena, but the other part should be to synthesize the findings, to consider how parts relate to one another and to the whole”. While self-translation studies are certainly a growing and lively field, we feel that they still lack this sort of systematization. In our paper, we will first of all explain the reasons that led us to design this project; second, we will describe its structure and functionalities; third, we will show some practical examples; and, finally, we will launch and informal call for contributions to interested researchers.
